Chuckie baby,

Try my site on Chevelle models, Perhaps the information there will send you in a productive direction. http://pages.about.com/ChicagoChevelle68/model.html

Hey Joe, no offense but that page is just flat out hard to read. Light blue text on a dynamic multicolor background is very hard to read and the background is to complex.

Web pages, much like Chevelles are a constant learning process.

Qudzilla baby,

I know I know I know....

The site dosent offer much in graphical flexibility. No offense taken. It's a temp site anyway. Stop me before I post again!!

Looking for a better site to post, any ideas? For free, of course. The '68 wouldn't like the funds diverted.

Johnny Lightning (i can't spell) has several different 66 hotwheel size cars. Their pretty hard to find because its been a while. you can still find them at car shows for around $6. Matchbox has a real nice aztec bronxe with black vinal top (i think 1:43, 2-3 times hotwheel size). Its around $25, and i had to order mine from some place called the matchbox museum. you might see the ads in car mags but the 66 was a year or 2 ago and you had to buy a series pot luck anyway ( i only wanted the 66). The best place to get one is K Mart if the have one where you live. Their made by Tootsie Toy. Their a little bigger than the matchbox. Every few months they put out a different color. so far their has been a black one, red one, pink one, another red one, and the one that you might can find now a yellow one. They are about $8, have chrome wheels, side pipes and a hood scoop - look pretty good. I have been hording all of them i could find. (sorry)There are also 3 plastic 66 models out and 1 elcamino. The newest one is by Linburgh (can't spell). I see at least two of these at Kmart / walmart pretty often for around $8. Thats all the 66 's i know about. of course ertel/ americam muscle has the 67 1:18 in blue, red, purple, black ,and white. Anybody else know of any more?

Part of my "cool car show" collection of Matchbox and Hotwheels type stuff includes a black 66 chevelle, a purple 66 chevelle, and a green 68 chevelle(Johnny Lightning), a 67 chevelle (racing champions), and 4 different 70 chevelles (1 hotwheels, 3 racing champions). For 1:25 plastic models, I have built a 66, 67, and 69 chevelle, a 65 Camino, and I have seen 70 chevelle and 66 camino models fairly recently. I don't pay much attention to the bigger die-casts. For me they cost too much, take up too much room and would be a bigger headache to dust. The stuff is out there but some of it is hard to find. Dave

Be honest now boo, you didn't actually win the cars....you paid for them.

Just joshing ya, I just always get a kick out of the way people react when they are the high bidder....just like that, like you actually won something. Congrats.

Mike

Haha, well part of the fun in auctions is being the highest bidder, as if that makes you so special, haha. But I am excited about the 66 Malibus. I can just see myself on the floor like when I was a young bowtie dreamer, pushing around my Matchbox cars and my mom screaming because I am marking up the kitchen floor...........

Thumbs up Re: 1966 CHEVELLE DIE-CAST

Yes! Ertel makes a new one, 1:18 scale, Black with red interior, about $60.00.
There is also a smaler version, I am not sure who makes it, but it comes in Black, Blue.

Nope didn't notice. At least I wasn't the fool who replied to it first.
I only hit the "New Posts" button and it came up. I certainly don't look at the dates of the thread. Well at least it now has updated anwers.
