Transmission Will Not Engage In Any Gear??

Hello, i have a 402 big block with a turbo 400 trans and the trans will not engage. I just finished installing a rebuilt tilt column and do not know if the neutral safety switch can be causing this, it starts in park only not neutral, the shift linkage is connected to the column? I also removed the TCS system from my car since it was missing most of the parts, in doing this i removed the TCS relay/solonoid that is attached to the wire harness gutter on the firewall, could this be the problem? The trans was working normally before i did this work, so i'm wondering what the problem is, could i have the neutral safety wires connnected wrong? Any help would be appreciated.....

naa, don't see how it could.
Guess I should ask "what kind of car?" but still ASSUMING, there is a hex headed bolt under the car where the two shift rods meet.
You loosen the bolt which lets the two rods slip farther together or apart.

in short;
Put the tranny in park
Put the column in park
Tighten the "set screw" hex headed bolt.

Sounds simple like missadjusted? or out of fluid?
Thanks for the help guys, stupid me the trans was low on fluid, i had also done a trans service and i had the pan off for like 3 days and i think all of the fluid drained out, i put 4 qts of atf but it was still very low, i had to add almost 3 qts! Thanks again....
