I originally had mono speaker dash, insurance replaced the dash with a stereo dash. i have brackets but would like to see pics of how the brackets mount to the dash, and how the speakers mount as well.
I can see that the curved edge screws to the cowl under the windshield, but the rest isn't quite making sense to me.
OK, so I can see that there are little "L" shaped brackets that attach the speaker to the bracket. Hope my Infinity 4x6's come with these, that or I can get them somewhere else.

nope they dont come with em. I can already tell you will have an issue getting the left speaker to fit. most of the newer speakers have a huge magnet and it hits on the cluster. If you have a sweep dash you might not have a promblem. In order to make mine fit i had to make a bracket using sheet metal. Even so the output from these little speakers is not much if anything.
I am using autometer gauges in the covans dash, so hopefully there's plenty of room.
I figured on maybe a 1% shot they'd come with them, luckily I've got lots of scrap sheetmetal laying around.
If they don't fit, www.turnswitch.com sells modern replacements with those small brackets already attached for $80. (I just found out about them or I'd have ordered those from the get-go)

I see you scratched the steering column when taking out the Gauge Cluster Bezel, hope you didn't crack it. Guess you know now to always drop the Column 1st, my 70Z is the same way - ;o)
I know this is an old thread but I'm faced with the same problem. I looked at the pictures posted by "FerrariTruck" but I don't really see the brackets enough…Would someone have better detailed pictures please?
Here is my stereo build thread - I could not get 4" speakers to fit in the front of an SS dash - they interfered with the dash pad and the printed circuit board
Trivia:
When I did my frame off on my 70 with A/C. Of all places,,, I went to the local Chevy Dealer and talked to the parts man. I wound up with two speakers that fit my 70 SS dash. I believe they were for a Chevy Celebrity and they had ( The CORRECT pig tail and PLUG that went into the 70 Radio harness, AND the wires from the speaker were Black & Green like the org.
Kinda Sorta like a O.E.M. replacement. Less than $30.00 for two factory correct speakers.
