Hey guys! I have a set of used rear upper control arms, and the bushings are still in them. They are off of the rear end, and I was wondering how I could get the bushings out. I know I can burn them out, but it gets messy. Is there any easier way? Thanks!
when you press them back in make sure you place a spacer in arm or they will collapse.the you get to buy expensive tubular!!!!!if you paint or powerder coat arms make sure to clean out holes befor pressing in new bushings good luck.

I use a drill with a bit that puts decent size holes in the rubber bushing, and drill holes all the way around to releave the pressure they apply. Then the bushing casing is pretty easy to take out.
Be sure to have your new bushings in the freezer for a couple of days before installation, and don't take them out till you are ready to install. They will slide right in and expand as the defrost.
Throw the bushings in the freezer overnite to shrink them, every thou or two helps.
