Unfortunately I don't have the answer to where on the case you'll find this code. You could try asking JodysTransmissions as he is a real pro about this stuff.

Chris - Hi. On 2.19.04, you answered (and David Bates added to it) about identifying gear ratios in B/W Super T10 with a series of letter codes (P-code = 2.43 7.76 1.47 1.00, etc...) Where's this letter on the case? My B/W, a 5.31.79 build, has three stamped codings with letters. The only one that makes sense is the "T" in "ML T1198", which is located inverted above the main number code with the build/shift date and a separate "A" stamp. If it's the T, then it's 2.64, etc... This makes sense given the build date and other information I've gleaned. Haven't pulled the transmission yet, and so wondering if there's a way to tell. My B/W is on a 350 SBC "LT1" driving a late 70's Jag XK6 IRS with 3.54 gearing, all in a 1980 Arntz Cobra. From what I understand, the 2.64/3.55 combo was considered ideal for Vette's in that era, which makes senses as Arntz seemed to like the SBC over the Ford FE. Was hoping you might have the key? Thanks, Cal
