Hello Jake, my friend recommended this forum and yourself to help me get started on rebuilding a stock 350TH. This will be mated with a 350 Vortec engine that came out of a late 90s Suburban. All this will be going into a 1947 Chevrolet car. I have a 350TH and I am pretty mechanically inclined. I would like to rebuild this transmission on my own. Is there a master rebuild kit I can purchase? A book, manual you recommend? I dont know the year this transmission came out of. Thank you!

You would love the overdrive. It is as strong as the TH400 when built properly. Check out the website and give me a call anytime. I would be willing to do something with you for a turbo for a 6.0L project I have going.

    Hi Jake,
I see you speak of the 4L80E trans alot. Would that be a better trans than the T-400 you did for me has far has strength? The over drive would be nice. With 3.73 gears and E-85 I don't have to explain gas mileage. My tank is 20 Gallons and to drive to Northstar and make 2 passes I can barely make it home on fuel. Thats only about 95 miles total

I am having issues with my turdbo 400 and I am looking at one of your kits to solve the problem. I would like to chat with you and pick your brain so I know if I'm going in the right direction.

Hey man I was advised to PM you.. I have posted a problem i've been having with my race thm 350 I build.. with the trans going into third gear in the fully forward position on my shifter.. it will go in 3/4ths the way there but if I put it all the way into the locked third position it neutrals out.. so I'm leaning towards my manual valve S link needing adjustment.. what do you think?.. I used a trans go full manual kit and double checked and everything is as it should be. Thanks

Jake, do you have a th350 stage 2 kit? if so, ill splurge. Think the 36 element sprag would last a bit longer unless you think ill just blow up the input shaft. Let me know. The 2nd feed was 3/8 (to big) the 3rd was 1/8 (just right).

alright so i believe you sent me the wrong direct piston, it is completely different from the one that came out and the one that's shown in the book. if you give me your email i'll send you a picture of them side by side.

also, my output shaft has excessive wear on the surface right before the splines. do you have a shaft laying around? thanks
