    Hello,

I hope it's ok to message you.

I read a post from a couple years ago about TCS solenoids, and you said you had few that you had removed. I have a numbers matching 70 SS 396 Chevelle that my sister drove in high school in the early 80's.

I wondered if you still had any of those TCS solenoids if I could buy one? It doesn't need to work, just want it for appearance sake.

    Thanks, Steve

    You're welcome.

Also, I use a remote starter solenoid in the smuggler's box. Less wiring at the starter, and helps solve the 'heat soak' problem that can occur.

    Happy New Year,

    Bob

I used a piano hinge and gas-springs, from McMaster Carr.

Battery wiring was a long wire trunk mount kit from American Autowire, used in conjunction with their Power Plus 20 harness.

2 ga. welding cables to the battery.

It all started with a '59 in 1991. I still have it, but it never made it very far (other than towing it from SoCal to PA). I now have that one and four others.
Just got my 84 running and reliable after kicking out the head gaskets a couple of times on the 400 it came with when I bought it. (now sports a 350 from a 94 pickup and purrs like a kitten)
I was thinking my " next" El Camino project would be a '65 and I found this one in Texas three years ago with a PG and tired 283. I cannot wait to drive it with updated 355, 350 trans ( or OD in the future) and updated power steering! not to mention the fact that it should idle with vacuum and not stall out at stop lights. I will try to keep up with pictures as I go!
    Your '70 is Really Nice!
