    Hello Mark,

I just joined this site and noticed your name on the current user box. I am Jim McFarland of Jackson, TN. Your screen name was interesting because I am in the process of trying to get my dads '72 454SS Chevelle (LS5 obviously). He bought it at a Leake Auction in OK 06/2006. It is an all original TX car. "Sunflower Yellow" (I believe that's what he told me the paint name was, kind of a light shade) with white stripes, white interior, turbo 400, A/C. The engine was warranty replaced shortly after it was originally sold (date code is correct anyway). I am 37 so naturally dad had many other muscle cars when I was young (409 Biscayne, 383 '68 Roadrunner, '70 AAR Cuda just to name a few) but he was never in a situation where he could keep any of them nor could I buy them in my younger years. With the Lords blessing now we both are in much better financial shape and he's simply ready for "another toy" and I've always wanted a true big block Chevelle PLUS it being one of my dads own cars makes it that much sweeter. The car is in excellent condition and I'd like to hold onto it to one day pass it down too my own kids. I have 3 kids 8-12 and would like to do the local "drive-in & shines" with them and my wife.

Anyway sorry to bother you with my life story, just wanted to meetup with a fellow 72 owner and hear your story as well.

    Thanks for your time,
    RA
