Hey I saw a post of yours for fixing the seal problem on a race pumps fuel pump and would like to know if you can give me a little bit more detail in reguards to your solution. i'm having seal issues on a 396 big block, they told me it was mostly because the pumps "work better" for engines running vacuum pumps.

    Thanks
    -Matt

Re: race pump piston style fuel pump
I've had one of them for a few years now and it has been a great pump except......it does occasionally lose prime and is a pain in the arse to prime
One other thing I don't really like about it is the way it's fits to the block(BBC, I'm not sure about SB) and seals with the cheesy supplied rubber gaskets, so I cut my own out of a solid sheet of nitrile that I keep for just such occasions

Aside those two things I can't really fault it. Keeps pressure all the way to 7 gorillas in my BBC(818hp).

    cheers
