Hi Vern, thanks for the info. While I have a lot of literature, I don't have a Hollander covering the 68 thru 72 years...guess I'll need to get one eventually. I believe your statements are correct. I'm almost certain 68 is different because of the vent windows. (This is also an issue on 68 2dr Impala vs 68 2dr Caprice, as the Caprice used the Astro-ventilation, no vent windows.) It seems like rears are the same from 68 thru 72. I haven't found anything stating definatively whether convert. and hard top were different. I have since talked to a friend who has a buddy with a 70 Chevelle convt w/ windows. I'm hoping he might get twist his arm to pull a panel off just long enough to look at the part number on a regulator. Then again he might have a parts book that would tell the story just as easily. I'd like to find out for certain before I start tearing things apart. Depending on what you read, the job can be a piece of cake, albeit a weekends worth of trouble...or an absolute nightmare when things don't line up. It's unlikely I would get things to work with the wrong parts. I've never had that kind of luck, even in the best of situations. Thanks again.
