Posted Oct 20th, 09 at 12:15 AM by ehyates
Well about 13 Months ago I purchased my first 70 Chevelle, I use to have a 67 SS Convertible, but needed the money so I sold it. All winter I worked on the front end and bottom. I cleaned the bottom of the floor pans, and painted them. I cleaned the frame and painted it. I changed all the front end and put tubular Global West control arms, upper and lower on the front, and all new front end parts, including new sway bar. I put new tubular upper and lower trailing arms on the rear, with a new sway...

Great score on some decent heads

Posted Aug 20th, 09 at 8:47 PM by 1969 El Camino Dan (My 1969 Chevelle Projects)
I bought a set of rebuilt heads for the project 454 engine. In keeping with the theme, these also came from an ad on CraigsList.

They are 781 castings but the best part is that they have been thru a performance rebuild - larger valves have been installed

69 Chevelle 8 track

Posted Aug 12th, 09 at 1:32 PM by cas396
Hello everyone,
I looking to install my factory underdash 8 track player in my 69 Chevelle. I have the correct player and ash tray. I'm looking for the mounting brackets, one for each side and the filler panel that is indented for the ash tray. if you have these parts available please email me at cas396@aol.com. with price and pics. There seems to be a lot of impala brackets around, but they are different. This online stuff goes all around the country and I'm sure someone has this set up....

10 years Since i got sucked into this mess

Posted Jul 22nd, 09 at 1:41 AM by RAMBO
July 18 1999
I got up at 5:30am drove about 100miles to go look at a car I hadn't even seen a photo of.

by 11:00- i had bought the car, and gotten about 10 miles when the engine spun a rod bearing Dispite what you might think- i wasn't upset at all (knew it had a knock, just had hoped it would make it home) I was very upbeat and excited. Having to have the car towed 90 miles just seemed like part of the excitement.

Several hours, and a hefty towing bill...
