Does anyone have good documentation for the assembly of the metal frame for the convertible top on a 69 Malibu.? I took mine apart for painting & took several pics, assuming the documentation in the Fisher assembly manual would be sufficient. There is very little info there except for the actual top material assembly.
There is no reference in the assembly manual or the GM shop manual.
I need to know what plastic bushings (white or black ) go where and from which direction.

I believe 69 is about the same as 71.. if you can be more specific, or even take pictures of the parts your unsure of. I can then take pictures tonight and post them for you.

Iam getting ready to take mine apart and will take lots of pictures before I do....

I managed to get it back together with a lot of trial & error. If I ever do this again, I will make detailed blowup drawings of each assembly showing the location of each bolt head, bearing, spacer(s) & nuts.
Pictures don't always give you the neccessary details.

could you send me pics. of the top around where the windsheild is . also the corners
also having trouble . missing parts would like to look at yours to get ideal. mostly around rear view those pieces.
