Does anyone know what the fender extension material is on my 72EC? One of mine has like a bullet hole in it, and I wanted to repair it. Looks like what we used to call pot metal.

They appear to be a zinc alloy. I would not try to weld this stuff, as it probably is full of weird gasses. Something like JB weld would be a good place to start.
