I noticed several articles in the archives on door removal,removing the door without taking fender off should be not much of a project, but this is visual, not actuall! does anyone have any good suggestions? open door mark the hinge position, put floor jack with 2x4 notch and some protection, then just unbolt, sounds easy but. any suggestions would be appreciated. thx steel

put a few layers of masking tape on the fender edge and front door edge before removing the door. Having a friend to help makes this job much easier. You can also slide a piece of cardboard between the door and fender for extra insurance the paint won't be chipped.

Steel, it is that easy, just have someone support the door from falling and remove the bolts from the door to the hinge.
