Hi guys. A question for the paint experts.
I have purchased Eastwoods Underhood Black and Chassis Black paint.I understand that the Underhood Black is used on the firewall, inner fenders, radiator support. What degree of gloss black is Underhood Black - 30 or 60 or ? The Chassis Black is used on the frame. What degree is Chassis Black - 30 or 60 or ?
For painting my cowl induction air cleaner, pullys, brackets, heater housing, power steering pump ect. Would I use one of these two paints, or a different gloss of paint.
On Aces site it mentions 60 degree gloss for these parts.
On the rear end and control arms, do I also paint these parts with Chassis Black.
Any help with this subject would be much appreciated.
Thanks, Curtis.

Curtis, I would say the chassis black is 60% or alittle more. Just use it on the chassis. Front & rear control arms the whole 9 yards.
however, I have seen cars with the center piece of the rearend "as cast" or cast iron paint with the tubes painted chassis black. I think either way is acceptable.

the underhood is more of a satin and is closer to 30% I would say. all of CI parts, pulleys, firewall should be done with it.
