I am seeking info on the 68 original stripe dimensions, that is the distance between the two outer stripes and the inner stripe. Also the width of each stripe. I am asking this for a friend who owns a 68 SS Chevelle. He wants to have a grey stripe painted on his black SS rather than the white or red. Thanks for any info.

the info I have on the '68 SS stripe is that the large stripe is 7/8". the small stripe is 1/4". the gap between them is 1/8". Hope this helps you . You asked about two outer stripes and an inner stripe. that's three stripes. On my '68 SS it only had two stripes one large and one small. I'm not familiar with the stripe that has three lines.

1969 used three stripes. Never seen but two for a 1968.
