Im tired of trying to find affordable factory bucket seats.so now Im looking for cheep aftermarket or other chevrolet seats, that won't take away from the look of the car. What bucket seats would you reccomend for my 71 chevelle? If any of you could post pictures of your seats to give me ideas that would be great.

Yea, $250.00+ for ratty, nasty buckets that need every spring and pad made. What a joke. I ended up finding a set locally for $75.00 in real nice shape out of a 70 MC - Recovered for my chevelle.

Why not take a walk through your local junkyard at some of the newer cars to see if anything you think would look good..

I was considering newer Camaro seats. If I go with Camaro seats Im hoping to find leather to closer match my vinyl interior, since vinyl camaro seats are unlikely .Did you have to modify the brackets for those seats to fit ?

I have seen quite a few cars with Pontiac Grand Am seats (1990's?)... Some even removed the headrests...

1995-1999 Monte Carlo / Lumina's had really comfortable seats- the stich pattern on the leather ones looks almost like it belongs in a classic car.

I put Corbaeu seats in myc ar. i love them. They sold a mount to mount directly to my existing bucket holes. They have side bolstering, head rest. They are a little stiff but damn comfy. They weren't to cheap though.

I used 96 firebird seats. Similar to camaro. A TransAm or Z will have leather. You can make the late model seat tracks work with a drill & some spacers to level the seat. I used the stock, forward outside bench seat mount hole & then drilled 3 new holes for the rest. http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/rickas47@sbcglobal.net/detail?.dir=8a4b&.dnm=699f.jpg&.src=ph

I have 2001 Camaro leather seats in mine....got them from a junk yard...I have a pair of 98 camaro seats (same style) that are tan cloth. They would either need to be dyed black to match or recovered. I'll get rid of them cheap! shoot me a e-mail if your interested. I want them out of my garage

I think Im going to hit the local salvage yards to start out, to avoid shipping costs. Does anyone have any more pictures different seat ideas, preferably installed in there cars.
