Where are the holes for the SS454 emblems for the front fenders supposed to be located on a 1970 chevelle? What are the dimensions from the back of the fender or top perhaps? Any help appreciated. Thanks, Mark

I answered this very question over on ChevyTalk.com last year, then promptly got my arse chewed for my reply. Posting member wanted the answer, not a resource to find the information. I'll give it another shot & see how it goes!
The hole dimensions are shown in the GM assembly manual for your car. The manual is available on ebay (cheap) or thru NPD & other Chevelle supply houses. It's a bit too complicated to explain in an e-mail. I can fax you the page from my '72 manual if you would like. While I don't own a '70, I would think the 70,71 & 72 Super Sport SS emblems are all identical placement.
Here's how mine turned out: http://www.72chevelless.com/072002-06.jpg
