Dropped by the body shop yesterday to check on their progress and I must say I'm impressed.
When I stripped the paint and old bondo before taking it in, I found a crease in the right rear quarter that was about 20" long X 3" high and about 2" deep right along the body line that had been filled with bondo prior to the last repaint. When I saw it yesterday, the crease was mostly gone! The only evidence that work was done there was the sanding marks left in the metal. The body shop guy said they spent some time shrinking the metal (whatever that is?).
I think my body shop is on the road to redemption for their past shortcomings. Who knows, maybe I'll use them again.
