i just joined the convertible world by purchasing a 69 convertible. it is a manual top car and i was curious if anyone knows if the manual and power top frames are different? i would like to convert this car to a power one. i have talked to a couple of people and some say it is and others say it is different. Any help in solving my dilemma would be appreciated. thanks michael

top frames are different. You will need the power top frame, motor/hoses/cylinders and wiring for the motor. The top frames look similar but ARE different. Years ago I tried putting a motor and cylinders on a manual top frame before I knew any better, and the side bars up over the door bent and snapped after a couple uses.
