: Molding clip studs

Installed new bottom windshield piece and rear glass to trunk filler piece. Where does one get these studs? how are they attached? can you use sheet metal screws to attach molding clips? Help!

Replacement screw-in studs are available. Some folks take the cheap/easy route and rivet the clips in.

I got THESE (http://chevelles.com/showroom/trimstuds.jpg) from Mr G's. You may find them at some paint and body supply stores.

Hillco Fastener Company sells the little screws to replace these studs. www.hillcofasteners.com (http://www.hillcofasteners.com)

I used stainless screws from Lowes.
