I have a 70 Chevelle and would like to add A/C to it. Anybody have any luck with any aftermarket systems? I would like a complete air/heat/defrost system that fits under the dash but am open to suggestions. This would also clean up the firewall. Any company sell a "kit" for a Chevelle. Also, What kind of dough am I looking at?
Thx.

I have known people to have done it. Not to difficult with a little know how. They payed a good amount for their kits, I'm not sure on the number. Lucily mine came from the factory with A/C so I don't have to worry about it. Before I bought my Chevelle, I almost bought one with out it, boy I'm glad he was asking to much.

I am completing a 72 Monte Carlo with a BB. I have fairly complete information in digital picture form...could burn a CD for you. We could also exchange some info off line. I used Vintage Air Gen II after starting with a Vintage Air Sure Fit. I can tell ya the good the bad and the ugly....short version Dont go Sure Fit. E-mail me at HPEXPATRIOT@yahoo.com. Glad to help if I can.

I had really good luck with Jon at Nostalgic Air. He can put together a simple or complex kit. He provides great tech help (sometimes his e-mails are a day or two behind) and no one was able to beat his prices.
