my problem is that I had a friend weld new floors in a 65 conv.The floor braces are not "square"so my seat bolts aren't runnig thru all of the brace or maybe I don't have the front seat positioned properly.What is the first thing to do?Any help would be much appreciated

That's a rough one. There's really only 2 solutions. Make the seats fit or cut out and re-weld the braces. I don't see why you can't get the seats close and not worry about it. Put big big washers under the floor if they don't hit the brace, or make a special plate.
