: Paint & Body How Much?

I have a 66' chevelle 300 deluxe coupe. I am looking to see how much it would cost to repair the body and then paint the car. There is one new fender on the car now, it needs alot of work done to the rear quarters as well as the rear filler strip between the trunk lid and the bumper. As far as the doors go, they are not to bad but they are not great. Otherwise the body is pretty decent. The reason I am asking is because I am undecided as to whether or not I should sell the car or dump the money into it in order to make it look nice. Thanks for all your help in advance.

i would say $4000 to$8000 depending on what was done and how well.also where you are located would affect price

Depending on the amount of metal work and such the $8000 that "jrusk" stated would be pretty much on target. Location and the rep of the shop will also be a factor in price.
I believe the labor rate here in Illinois is $65/hour.

Between 4-8k is about right depending on the amount of work. I just got mine out of the paint shop a few months ago. I did well because they were a friends of the family.

When I had my car quoted at a regular resto place, they said they wouldn't touch it for less than $7,000. My car was in good shape, minimal rust.
