: trunk lid molding

can anyone tell me how the trunk lid molding goes on,the car did not have it on when i got it,also where are the holes for the clip nuts to go into (if any) because the last owner filled all of the molding holes why is beyond me thanks keith

Your gonna have to find the mounting braces[there are studs on the deck lid that they slide into if there gone you should be able to screw them in?} that the molding snaps on to and then there is a retainer clip at each end that gets a nut to hold the ends on.
The NOS moldings come complete with all mounting hardware but are quite pricy,probably 100+ bucks or so and I beleive the repops come with all the mounting hardware too but I havn't seen one.

thanks bret pick a new one up have the mounting hardware ,thing i can`t figure is the way it go does the big lip go down and tuck up under the lid or just ride along the bottom
