Do I have to cut out the whole area under the scoop, or just where the air cleaner will come up? I am adding a large Daytona type scoop on an 82 ElC, and don't want to weaken the hood.

Mine is only cut where the air cleaner comes thru...I trimmed the edges with door edge protector, I had a 20' roll, that makes the hole look much cleaner..I didnt want to cut all the way to the scoop opening either. John
