I am in the process of changing frames on my 67 SS and have found a 66 4 Door frame locally. Can anyone tell me if the frames are the same? Do all of the body mounts line up the same, etc. etc. Thanks for the help. Mark
Nope! The 2-door frames are longer than the 4-door frames. Unlike the Full-sized Chevies though, at least the opening contours are the same (it arches foreward in the center instead of sweeping back towards the rear wheel opening like the big Chevy 2-doors.)

I'm looking at the '66 frame book (old autobody book with frame dimensions) and it shows no differences from 2-door to 4-door on the 64-67s. Only the wagon and el camino are 3-1/4" longer in the rear section behind the axle. All 64-67s A-bodies have a 115" wheel base. Of course ragtops and elkys have boxed frames. ...so according to my info, the frames will interchange
The '69 book I have, shows that on 68-72s, 2 doors have 112" wheel base, 4-doors have 116" wheel base, and the wagon/elkys have the 116" wheelbase with 6-3/8" longer rear section behind the axle. Again, elkys and ragtops are boxed.
Doh! I thought you were talking about DOOR FRAMES! Maybe I had better re-read the question, or see a doctor really soon!:clonk:
What was it that Emilly Litella (Gilda Radner) used to say on Saturday Night Live after she realized that she completely misunderstood the topic of her comentary? "Nevermind!" :)

It will work, BUT the 67 uses a different rear spring that 64 to 66. So you will need to change your rear springs.
