: Metal cowl hood for a '67
67_LS1 Jan 22nd, 03, 3:33 PM Did anyone else notice that Goodmark is releasing a metal cowl induction style hood for the '67 Chevelle/Malibu?
I've got a aftermarket SS hood now and I'm going to change to the cowl as soon as it's released.
I know, I know, not stock, but neither is the rest of the car so???

SLOPAR Jan 22nd, 03, 8:09 PM I posted this on another thread but I have patiently waited for a cowl hood for the 66 and that said they would have had it by now. Oh well, it off to the body shop Monday so my body man is gonna mold one into the factory hood.

67_LS1.....my buddy just got his Glastek hood for 67 chevelle.Well made.
67_LS1 Feb 20th, 03, 10:07 AM I've seen some pretty good glass hoods, but I put 40-45k miles on my car each year commuting to work, my kids drive it on weekends, and I would be concerned about durability. Besides, to the unknowing, steel looks more legit.

AutoE Feb 20th, 03, 11:20 PM I emailed Goodmark the other day and they said it would be about 5 more months. But on th eplus side they have a picture of it now and a part # and price. My car is at the painter right now and will be done in about a month or so, would have been nice to have it before it got painted. Its exactly what I need to finish the look I want for the car. I guess I will just have the painter mix up enough paint to paint the hood when they get them made.
