My non-power convertible top is showing it's age. What is the correct replacement top & how much should it cost? (The car has a zip out plastic rear window which I will want to replace as well.) Does anyone know who is great at this work in the San Fernando Valley area of Southern California?
Thanks

I would FIRST look for the shop that will do the install...

I bought a top from a Chevelle supplier (NPD), because I was getting a discount for all the parts I was buying. Well, I had trouble finding a shop that would install the top (with any sort of guarantee)... The shops all wanted to supply the top (I figured they would charge more for the top).

I finally found a shop, and he didn't do a very good job... He complained about the top and said IF I had purchased from him, it would be guaranteed. I know the guy really did have trouble. Mine was the only car in the shop at the time, and everytime I stopped by he was fussing with it. He originally quoted me a time and price; Charged the same price, but spent much more time than the estimate...

Mine doesn't look bad, it just doesn't fit great in some areas.

Any good upholstery shop SHOULD be able to supply a nice top...

Go to some local car shows and ask convertible owners there who did their tops

I used a Robbins brand original top.
