No this isn't a street racing post. I was just driving around town and drove by a 5.0 Mustang. Man it looked good in my rear view mirror :D

I did the same thing 2 days ago.

First he passed me, acting foolish, goosing the throttle. I just kept on putting at my own pace. He had to show me how quick it would corner, and everything. Soon he was out of view.

I ran a few errands, and decided to take a back road home. Coming up to a T intersection (with a DEEEEEP ditch) I notice about 100 feet of skid marks. Guess who didn't stop in time. Yep, the Mustang was nose first in the ditch.:D No body around, so he must of walked the 2 miles to the nearest house.:D I dont think he hit it too hard, but I'm sure it would take a tow truck to get it out.

Well, it kind of made my day.

On the way home from the cruise tonight, I drove next to a Mustang Cobra with a Borla exhaust (for a Mustang, it sounded sweet). We were both in 4th (and he in 5th or 6th or whatever) and doing 35, thats 5MPH UNDER the speed limit. Both laughing and enjoying the sounds of both the cars, neither of us trying to beat the other, just matching eachother and listening and laughing. Just cruising. It is much more fun then going fast.

I never got why people say mustangs sound bad. 5.0 and 4.6 are some of the nicest sounding engines with a decent exhaust on them.

Much better than 90% of the LS1 cars I hear that sound like boats gargling in the water.

OOOOOH! You passed it in your car while driving down the street. I was going to say, that damn thing would have been hard to chew!

Don't get my wrong, it's bowtie for me, and I dunno what kinda of catback these people install...I just wish they would leave their boats in the water and let the car sound like a car.

I agree completely. The LS1's, and all the new SB's for that matter, sound like a boat, and if its a stick, it sounds like it "coughs" or stumbles in between gears. The Rustangs just have a better sounding motor now-a-days.

I just got a new exhaust put on my chevelle, 2 1/2" with an H-pipe and Spintech mufflers. As much as I hate to admit it, it sounds a little like a Rustang now. The H-pipe and the husky sounding spintechs combine for 'that sound'. It doesn't have your typical SBC sound, but it definitely turns some heads and sounds like it means business (and it does ;) ).
