I rarely gamble, but went to a casino north of Seattle this weekend and hit a $1200 slot hit. I took home $1100. HELP ME SPEND IT! Been thinking about what i could buy for the velle. Ive gotten everything just the way i like it except the suspension. I just put a 1 1/4" sway bar on the front last week, but the rest of the suspension is stock and i feel I am missing out on better driving. I know the bushings in the rear are old and rubber (probably originals!) and the i have no sway bar in the rear. The springs are stock and i have air lift shocks. No sway bar or boxed arms in back. Im thinking the rear needs the help. The front has stock springs as well but recent upgrade on front bushings has been done. Im thinking the front is fine, unless there are better springs to get.
Id like some opinions on what is the best bang for buck on suspension upgrade. I dont want to spend all of it (i want to pay off a small credit card!) so lets say i have $700-800. Im sure theres something i can do with that!?

p.s. Am also limping along on a open 10 bolt with 3.08's (8.2). That is my other area of concern, but am not sure if i want to invest in a piddly 8.2

We need to gambling together. I won 2k playing craps last weekend. Im thinking of becoming a proffessional gambler. The most I have ever won is 5k in 4 hrs playing craps, starting with 150 bucks. But I have also lost $800 in 30 minutes.

" My name is Kyle and Im a gambler" hehe..

You'd still have money left over for a sway bar, body bushings, and control arm bushings ...

Actually, if you go with this kit:

You would have at least $750 Left over for body bushings and a sway bar ... maybe even tubular front control arms ... mmmm ... tubular ...

I think you go to the casino again. You can invest those winnings and win enough to re-do the whole car ....... :D Not !!

A lady just jumped off the gambling boat into the moat and killed herself here a couple of weeks ago.

I guess she kept thinking she would hit it BIG and be able to pay back the money she had been stealing by stealing more to gamble with.

Before doing anything with the rear suspension, go in the suspension forum and search "poly bushings" or "bind"... wish I would have before spending my money on junk

It really depends on what you want to do with the car. Do you want to set it up for drag racing, and going fast in a straight line, or do you want to be a corner carver? It's up to you. Either can be expensive. If going the pro touring style route, look at the hotchkis lowering springs, I have a set in mine, they work well. Look for some lower front spindle, tubular a-arms, Boxed rear lower control arms, Adjustable uppers. Hellwig makes some nice sway bars. I have them on my car. Like I said, it's all about what you want to do with the car.

daily driver quality, nice ride and handling. Pro touring feel. Not drag racing. I just want a nice ride for my daily driver.

When I gamble, the only rule I follow is. ( Only gamble money that you can afford to light a match to). It can dissapear in a hurry if you get on a bad streak.

I think i am going to stretch the money out and box my rear arms, add a 1" rear sway bar and adjustable upper arms. That still leaves some dough, so im thinking of getting rid of my air jacker shocks (i think thats whats causing a real bumpy stiff ride), i want a smoother ride.
What do you think of my decision?
Any more suggestions on suspension upgrades??

I agree that the air shocks are making more of a stiff ride, a rear sway bar is a great investment, as well as boxing your rear arms and getting adjustable uppers. I have a monroe shock on my ride, and I like it, you can also check out KYB, great handling, but bumps can be rough sometimes depending on what style KYB you get. Lowering springs will make a better handling vehicle as it will lower the COG, I beleive hotchkis can provide you with this.

Happy Money Spending!!
