I could not find new GM quarter glass chrome, the strip on the front edge that meets the front door glass, and also had to order repro weatherstripping that fits into the channel in the chrome srip. In previous postings I could only find recommendations not to buy repro chrome strips as they were not shaped well. Has anyone had any good experience with their repro chrome strips? I ordered already from Year One but have had problems before with repro trim pieces fitting and want to get ahead of the curve.

I got the set (for a '69) from Year One a couple years ago and it was very nice.

Thanks for the reply Von. Hope springs eternal! The previous trim pieces that didn't fit by the way were from another source, not Year One,
although obviously there are common sources between vendors.

NPD lists new GM in their catalog.$100 each.

I bought a set of the repro's that I fought with for a couple hours, pitched em and put my originals back on. Cost me $70 too!!! Hopefully the Year Ones are better. Keep us posted.

If you still have your originals, have them rechromed, that's what I did. They WILL fit, no questions asked.

Thanks for the advice 4spdrat but at least one of them is rusted through and unusable. Looks like I'll do anything though before paying $100 each for new ones through NPD as 70isfine reports!
