You might be able to run the vin through the dmv. Most states have a year limit now though.

I got lucky. I had an O'Reilley Chevrolet (Tuscon, AZ) 24 hour tow number sticker on the inside of my glove box.

Do you know what state or city it was sent to? What assembly plant it came out of?

Other than find the original owner, a knowledgeable second owner , or a build sheet, and hope it wasn't dealer transfered....No. No dealer emblem or sticker on the back of the car?
