: What is it???
66elky Sep 25th, 99, 12:52 PM Just picked up a 64 Malibu. I have this square bottle about 10 inches long under my hood. It's located on the forward side of the wheel well, and is mounted in a bracket. No it's not the windshield washer bottle, thats plastic. It isn't hooked up to anything. Any ideas what it is for(oil, moonshine, etc)???? Thanks again.

mr409 Sep 25th, 99, 1:33 PM Are you sure it's not triangular?
Back in them days they mounted a glass bottle under the hood which contained window washer concentrate.
If it is the correct bottle, hang on to it. Original ones are getting rare and the repro's are expensive. ($30-40 dollars I think)

DZAUTO Sep 25th, 99, 1:38 PM Bob,
That's what I'm thinking. It's the bottle for extra washer fluid.
If that's what it is Jake, HANG ON TO IT!

"OPTI-KLEEN" I believe.
tom3 Sep 25th, 99, 6:21 PM Buddy of mine used to keep gas in this bottle. When he'd run out of gas, weekly, it was handy to prime the carb with. "Safety first" wasn't his motto, I guess.
Manny Gomez Sep 25th, 99, 7:40 PM Hey 66,
It's a "find". Check out what those things sell for at a swap meet. Don't drop it, like I did mine! mgg
Coach Sep 25th, 99, 8:28 PM Manny, I got two. Need one? No decal, but the bottles not broken. I'll send it to ya.

They reproduce the labels and the lids.
Pretty neat looking colored label and the cap has wording on it (I believe) as well.
Check our sponsor for availability.
Thanks. Len

283v8 Sep 28th, 99, 4:53 AM Best bets are
#1-keep moonshine in it or
#2-sell it.
These look tacky in a muscle car.Perhaps OK in a trailer queen
