I've had this car for twenty years and am just about to put the finishing touches,(does that ever happen),on the old SS for the second time. I hope to have it running and on the road by the end of next week and hopefully make my first show in two years next Sunday. What do you think? Now I can really enjoy it once again. :) :beers:

I bought my first Chevelle (1969 Malibu), in Nov of 1987. It's been sleeping now since 1993. Maybe I better start "ramping up" for it's 20 year anniversary ?

Obsessed, your car looks awesome !!!

Thats a pretty impressive setup you have with the two carbs, nice color on the car to, you should be proud of the whole package. Its got me thinking about my 69, you forget how nice those setups are until you see them again.

Thanks everyone!! I have a fiberglass hood with a hole cut in it, but I want to cover that hole up. I have the stock SS hood that I want to use for a mold and I want to form the SS cowls from fiberglass. I then want to adapt that to the fiberglass hood that I have but raise it 4" That way I can have a stock appearing SS hood with a 4" raised cowl area to clear the two fours. If I can't get the two fours to work on that Edelbrock cross-ram I'll put a Victor Jr. on it with a Demon 850 and the stock SS hood.

Very nice ride, but I'm partial to 69's,just check my webshot page and you'll see my 69.Yes,keep the stock 69 SS hood on it,I think the tall cowls look kinda goofy on 68-69's.What are the motor specs.I wish my car was a 10" tire car yet.

Thanks...Ditto on your 69...The motor is an LS-6 454 .030 over,10.5:1 pistons,Merlin heads with 2.30 intakes, 1.90 ex. 119 cc chambers, Crane Powermax roller cam, Edelbrock cross-ram with dual 500 cfm Edelbrock carbs, Th400 w/ 3000 stall and 4.10 Richmond gears and Mosier axles...I almost cut my car for pro street but decided not to as it still has the original GM sheetmetal ...floorboards and all. Thanks again Adam
