I seem to be missing a bracket for my shift linkage
(turbo 350 behind a mild rebuilt 350) on my 72 Chevelle. Any idea where to find, or how to make the pivot bracket the tranny linkage? I have linkage from the column to the tranny, but not the bracket that mounts to the frame so the linkage can pivot properly.

Fairly common item for cars around that year. There's also a spring and a nylon bushing that goes into the bracket. Try posting a want ad for one. Someone is sure to have it.

Where does this bracket mount on the frame?

look right across from the trans linkage, on the inside of the frame you should see 2 holes I think it screws in there with a 5/16 coarse bolts, Jim

is the bracket and linkage from a th400 different from a th350?

Does anyone have any pics of how it all hooks up on a th400?

I'm pretty sure it's the same I just went to the wrecking yard and bought the linkage from the column down to the tranny and athe bracket, they didn't ask what tranny and it bolted to the turbo 400 just fine Jim
