Well... I bought the stuff with all the primer and everything I bought. But how do I use it? spray it on and wipe it off, or spray it and leave it? is that the stuff that will clean the metal and prepare it for paint?

I have the same stuff I didnt use it yet. But I was told you wipe it on with a clean terry cloth pretty wet let it dry. It is suppose to dry to a white haze. Then It doesnt sound right but he said it is , is that you wipe it with water and another clean cloth to get the white stuff off or the primer wont adhere good. I hope someone else replys to say that is right.

I found more info on the metal prep! The right way to do it is dilute 1part metal prep to 2parts water in a hand spry bottle. spray on metalspray as needed to keep it wet for 20 mins or so then rinse or wipe down with water and rag. the stuff will leave some white residue but mostly a golden sort of color/ almost looks like rust but is actualy a phosphate layer that etched the metal then your ready!!

According to the POR (metal ready) you must wash off all of the white residue or you will have problems with your primer coats and possibly more. I would ask where you bought the PPG metal prep what to do. I know most products are different but that white haze is something I don't think would be good sittin under the primer.. JMO

Go ask your paint retailer for a product bulliten. Its a paper that tells you how to use the stuff the way the manufacture intended it's use.
