I'm in the market for a new top-coat gun. I was recently at my Dupont jobber and they told me about a new line of gun their carring. Now I know the Iwata name, its been around a while. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with these guns. I'm interested in the LPH400LV model. They have an interesting fluted fliud tip thats supposed to "pre-atomize" the paint for better pattern and atomization. I'm going to demo the gun next week, but wanted to see if their is any feedback prior.

Yep, Iwata has been around for ever. However, it wasn't imported to the states until late 80s/early 90s. I have a small one that I got in Japan in 1976. One of the best I've ever owned.

Go to the forum on Autobodystore.com. The guy that runs the site sells Iwata and there are several people on there who are familiar with the later models.
