I am brand new to this sight and recently aquired a 69 ss chevelle (southern car with great body, no engine. I want to keep the car as close to origional as possible. What color codes were the silver and black ss rims? I see year one has a handy precut template to repaint the pattern. Is there a complete list available for the entire car components for color codes?
Thanks,
Mike

Call gm and ask for a restoration package for your chevelle, you will need the id number and it helps to be a current gm customer otherwise you will probably have to pay for it. This will tell you everything you want to know.Good luck.

The silver is Argent silver and the "black" isn't black it's dark Charcoal Grey with quite a bit of metallic.
You can get the "pocket paint" from James Hinshaw
http://www.hinshawschevelle.com
The Argent Silver is available at most all auto paint stores.

I got a can of "rally wheel paint" from the local resto place. It's argent silver. Ran me 6 bucks and will easily do 4 rally wheels.
