Ok. Got a new engine for my son's 70 Monte Carlo.
It's a 3970010 350 cast on April 7, 1968 (D78).
Assembled in Flint on April 13 (V0413TKH).
My question concerns the 'TKH' suffix code.
I'm assuming this is from a truck.

The heads are 462, 202's.
What kind of camshaft would be good for that heavy car with a t350 and power brakes?

Thanks for the help.

It's a 1978 truck 350. 165HP with 4 barrel carb. according to nastyz28.com. 350's were not common in 1968; as far as I know only the Camaro SS350 had it (and used a different block). Heads may be earlier, though, sound like 327 heads earlier than 68.

Was'nt the '010' casting discontinued in 1975?

The 010 blocks went through '80 per Mortec.

After further research it seems that the block was used from 1968 (as a 327 block) through 1980 as a 350 with hp ratings from 165 to 370. It was used in passenger cars, trucks, and the 'Vette.
Thanks for the info.

Now, what about a cam?
