I am rebuilding my 1970 Chevelle Coupe with pro touring style in mind. Here is my current setup which I am not too fond of...

Edelbrock IAS Shocks
Hotchkis Performance Sport Springs
Hotchkis Performance Traction Arms (Love these)

I don't like the drop that the springs gave me and the spring rates are too soft for the rear. The shocks I don't mind though. I am looking for a good shock/spring combo that is maybe a 1" drop all around and I want to add new control arms and sway bars. I am having trouble finding info about good setups like what I am looking for. I don't need to pull 1g or anything like that and I am not going to race it. I just want something stiffer, lower, and more nimble but still somewhat comfortable for driving. I plan on taking this Chevelle across country. Do you guys have any suggestions?

Curb Weight w/full tank = 3,600 lbs.

SC&C upper and lower ball joints, Pole Position upper control arms, Coil Spring Specialties 2" drop springs (front rate 500 lbs, rear rate 150 lbs), Teflon lower arm bushings, Currie rear arms or Edlebrock with the johnny joints, keep the AIS shocks, no rear bar, front 1" bar with poly links and frame bushings.

Dennis and I are usually on the same page, but let me suggest a bit stiffer up front, maybe 550 or 575 lbs/inch. I think the 500 #/in will be a bit on the soft side.

Yeah, I thought about some stiffer springs but kept seeing this- I don't need to pull 1g or anything like that and I am not going to race it. I just want something stiffer, lower, and more nimble but still somewhat comfortable for driving. I plan on taking this Chevelle across country. so I went soft on the fronts.
