i am getting ready to rebuild the top end of my stock 350. it is my daily driver 69 malibu. it has 3.50 gears,(i counted it 4 times, i guess its one of those jegs ring and pinion sets, put in before i bought the car) th-350, headers, not sure on converter, but it def. feels stock, and a 670 carb. i have a set of gm cast-iron heads w\ lt-1 springs, new valves, ret. etc., and a holley street dominator intake. would like a good balance between fuel eff. and low-mid range power. any help greatly appreciated

A good old CC 270 Magnum OR Isky 270 Mega hy-cam should do you nicely, imho..

Nothing fancy, just two good running street cams that are about at the max. for a stock motor!!

I have a 383 w/ 2.02/1.60 993 GM heads and RPM intake and a CC 270H cam, and it is a blast to drive. On a trip of about 120 miles I got 18 MPG with 500 miles on the motor. Hope this helps
