Will a B&M Hammer or Mega Shifter fit into my 67 Chevelle console? I`m swapping from a Powerglide to a TH350 and would like to keep somewhat stock but I like the look of the B7M. Thanks

I used to have a B&M QuickSilver shifter under the stock 66 console in my old Malibu. It fit without modifying the console, and even fit inside the chrome pieces that surround the stock shifter handle...

I am not sure about the Hammer or the Mega shifter, but I think (IMO) that the QuickSilver looks closer to a "stock" shifter...

Thanks Tony for the info, I like the look of the Quicksilver as well.

I agree with Tony. The quicksilver looks more "stock" in the console with minimal mods needed. I think I have a pic of it on my website.

Here's a picture of Tom's shifter/console...

QuickSilver in 66 console (http://home.comcast.net/~tkmhwood/images/chevellepics/dsc00767.jpg)

Way back when I installed mine (also a Powerglide to TH350 swap), I actually FOUND the QuickSilver (thats right, free)... I had no idea it would fit, and at the time, I wasn't even contemplating the swap... Just a pack-rat collecting free stuff...

Not the best, but I also stuffed an Autometer tach in place of the console (early 1980s, so repro tachs and clocks were not available), and I had another Chevelle I needed the clock for)...
