i won a 68 chevelle and i need to buy a Y cable for my parking brake system. I have the two cables coming from the two rear tires, but i dont have the cable that connects the two and takes it up to the interior, does anyone know the actual technical name for this, or does anyone know where i can go to buy one, i need it soon, because i will be elaving for colelge

I dont know if yours is the same, but the ones I'm familiar with have 4 cables.
1 for each rear wheel
1 front
1 intermediate

The front connects to an equalizer
The intermediate goes thru the equalizer and to each rear cable, with a cable connector on each side.
There is usually also a cable guide / guide bar /S-hook/ to hold the intermediate cable up on the right side, hooking to the frame.

Anyway, all these parts are available individually, or as a kit.

I just called it the front E-Brake Cable. Local parts store got it no problem.

Think you are asking about the center (intermediate) cable which isn't Y-shaped but actually a long straight cable held in the center. True Connections in Riverside should have 1 in stock.
