I'm getting ready to remove my body from the frame. luckily all the body mounts came off with no problems. it's a 1970 2 door and a california car with zero body rust and i mean zero. it is really clean!

my question is "should I remove the glass before lifting the body or does it matter either way"?

thanks much guy's. i love this site!

I would just for the simple fact that you dont want to crawl into the car alot while its on supports. Just for the safety factor.

You can leave the doors and glass in without any problems. Take the front clip off. I supported the body of my 69 SS from the pinchweld lip in four places. I put some support across the front of the body and through the rear tire wells for a bit of security. The danger is in removing the frame from under the body and in placing the frame back under the body as you need to move the front supports to clear the frame. Just go real slow and have a couple of friends over to be safe. Two normal guys can lift a side of the body if a problem comes up. My brother-in-law was a tackle for Stanford and he lifted the entire front end with the frame still attached.

I forgot to mention that we placed carpet strips under the car for the frame to slide on. It was relatively easy for just two of us.
