Wow, after quite some time I am getting my floor pans final fitted in.
One of the items I'm having a hard time figuring out, is the overlapping factory seam that runs across the car in the front footwell area.
I've considered going through the trouble of completely re-creating this seam ... but my car is also going to be more driver quality than show.
On the outboard side of the car, I will probably do a lap weld as it goes over top of the rocker support forward into the body mount brace area.
On the trans-tunnel side I was hoping to do a complete butt weld around.
Just looking for input/suggestions on how to blend the seam into a butt weld ... or ideas how to recreate into a factory overlap seam? What have others done on floor pans?
Thanks, Neal
