Most people use the cast iron grey paint, which I think looks fake, so I used chassis black elcamino72 Jul 25th, 05, 4:23 PM Natural Cast Iron, it was never painted originally. The end cap and the top plate were natural aluminum. I'm not sure about the bolts which hold on the top plate, nor and am I sure about the snap rings at the end cap and at the input shaft. Also, I would assume that the output shafter was natural steel, but I'm not sure, same with the pitman arm nut (however this may have been black oxide).
