Can you tell me if the hood from a 69 elco will fit a 68 elco

Not 68-69 knowledgable but as long as you use the hood hinges for the year the hood is they will fit. Meaning if the hood is a 68 hood use 68 hinges, if its a 69 hood use 69 hinges. The mounting holes on the 68-69 hinges are in different locations, the 69's are farther apart, just to were it bolts to the hood. Where the hinge bolts to the fender is the same.

Also the hood catch lock that bolts to the front of the hood carries diff part numbers from 68 to 69, so they would be different also. The hood catch lock plate is also different, along with the support bracket. But as long as the hood catch bolts up the different year hood then you wouldnt need to swap those parts...Eric

The hoods are the same but the hinges are different, do what sevt_chevelle said and you should be fine.
