I have 2 chevelles...
A 1971 2dr HT, and a 1972 4dr sedan.
My question is...
Can i convert my 72 chevelle into a Convertble chevelle??? (2dr of course)

Is i possible?
I mean... its not suppose to be that hard... i cut 4" from the frame, and i put the qt. panles and doors of a convertable chevelle...
right?

It will be very hard. you will need a donor convertible car anyway, so just go find a convertible Chevelle.

didnt you ask this same question a few weeks ago? the answer is still the same, major work unless its just a hack off the roof deal.

For someone on a budget (I remember your rust repair post) you sure are looking into a "break the bank" project. I can't see a project like that being worth the effort even if I were loaded with money.

I have a friend who did it,it looked factory. But this guy is a real body man.It was on a 66 HRT that had a tree land on the roof, and as luck would have it the car was parked with the windows rolled down so it never broke any glass.I had a hard time believing it was not factory until he showed me some details and a picture with the tree still on the roof...FRED

I would make a "sun car" out of it. Just cut the roof off, duct tape the rough edges and have fun! http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif
