Just getting ready take the car to the strip next weekend.

Had the hot start problem and installed a Ford remote solenoid and now the 454 starts every time, hot or cold.

Can't wait to see if it will break into the twelves with a mild 454, 2400 converter, 4.1 gears and 10.5 inch slicks at 3000 feet altitude.

A dual battery solenoid from an RV store will work, then you don't have to use the F word. They are also a much better solenoid as they are of the continuous duty type.

Thanks for the tip, will check it out.

By the way the car ran a best of 12.516 at 108.96 shifting at 5,000.

Temp was 94.1 degrees with corrected altitude of 5118.

With a gear change and converter change and a bit of fine tuning there is a high 11 there especially with better air.
